Pydantic Settings extra_forbidden: check the values after the fix.

When dotenv aliases or environment-source precedence change, a settings object can load successfully while losing a fallback value. This skill helps an authorized coding agent check the complete configuration contract.

Python settings regression

Use it for Extra inputs are not permitted [type=extra_forbidden], nested alias mismatches, or a proposed extra='ignore' workaround. Compare final values, types, source priority and unexpected-key handling.

The ZIP includes the instructions, MIT license, a synthetic Python example and its pinned demonstration dependencies. Reading or downloading it does not install packages or execute code. The example runs only with an explicit --run option, uses temporary synthetic settings and makes no network calls.

The demonstration package versions describe a reproducible historical example. Adapt checks to the actual project; passing the example does not verify another application.
